The public presence of Okir is now established.
What Was Completed
- Website infrastructure deployed on self-hosted VPS
- Transparency charter documented and published
- Initial roadmap phases defined and made public
- Content management system configured for editorial updates
- All foundational pages written and reviewed
Technical Decisions
We chose a static site architecture deliberately. This decision optimizes for:
- Longevity: No dependencies on hosted services that could disappear
- Auditability: Content stored in Git with full version history
- Simplicity: No database, no runtime server, minimal attack surface
The site builds to static HTML and is served via Nginx with TLS.
What This Means
This launch establishes the foundation for transparent operations. All future updates, roadmap changes, and operational decisions will be documented here.
We are not launching with fanfare. We are launching with documentation.
Next Steps
- Begin publishing operational updates as work progresses
- Establish update cadence based on meaningful progress
- Continue building relationships with origin communities
