The planning phase for our first operational pilot has concluded.

Planning Outcomes

We have defined the scope, constraints, and success criteria for the initial cacao sourcing pilot. Key parameters:

  • Geographic focus narrowed to specific regions based on quality potential and partnership readiness
  • Volume targets set conservatively to match operational capacity
  • Quality standards documented with testing protocols established
  • Transparency requirements communicated to potential partners

Partnership Evaluation

Several origin communities are under consideration for initial partnership. We are evaluating based on:

  • Existing quality infrastructure
  • Community governance structures
  • Alignment with transparency requirements
  • Logistical feasibility

We do not announce partnerships before agreements are finalized.

Constraints Encountered

  • Longer-than-expected timeline for quality sample evaluation
  • Need for in-person visits before finalizing any agreements
  • Legal complexity of cross-border agricultural trade

Status

This work is ongoing. The planning phase provided clarity; execution begins in the next quarter.
